Learn How Washburn's Boat Yard Started
Washburn's Boat Yard was founded by Chris and Eve Washburn in 1987 after they returned from a two-year cruise aboard their Krogen 42. Prior to the cruise, Chris owned and operated a boatyard in Annapolis located at the old Trumpy Yacht property.
In June of 2010, Chris Washburn and Eric Skow became partners. For Eric, this is his second career. He worked for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY for many years before deciding that his true love was working on boats. He joined Washburn's in 2002. Eric became sole owner of Washburn's in 2019.
